The Dark Reactions

ccycle.jpg

The above is a diagram of the dark reactions also known as the calvin cycle

The dark reactions of photosynthesis take place in the chloroplast outside of the thylakoids in an ares called the stoma. In the dark reactions carbon dioxide enters the cycle and energy transported by atp and nadph is used to convert carbon dioxide into a three carbon sugar.

The above diagram explains all of the steps involved in the calvin cycle.
